rien de foufou mais bon... GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist RICHARD FORTUS Hosting 'Sumosonic' - Sep. 10, 2009
According to Adweek, GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Richard Fortus is hosting "Sumosonic", a terrestrial radio program launched by young-male destination Heavy.com. The show features interviews and tracks from new artists.
Heavy is making the show available on its web site, which drew 1.9 million U.S. visitors in July, according to Nielsen Online. It has also struck a deal with radio programming distributor Team Clermont that will enable the show to reach millions more by airing on 900 college and independent radio stations.
"It's great reach," said Simon Assad, co-CEO of Heavy. "It's nice for us as a digital brand to go into the offline space. It's the right target market. It felt like a good idea for us."
"Sumosonic" existed on Heavy as a playlist of new music, which the site also distributed via CDs. The company decided to relaunch the feature as more of a traditional radio show with a host and interviews. Chicken picking (or chicken pickin') is a lead guitar style or technique used in country music where the plucked strings are pulled outward (i.e., away from the fretboard instead of parallel to the fretboard) by the fingers of the right hand and the note played immediately dampened by decreasing the pressure of the left hand's finger on the fret. (Burrows 1995, p.60) |

Oui, Fortus a une technique assez similaire à Knopfler. C'est un très grand guitariste. J'ai toujours pensé qu'il aurait fait des merveilles dans l'ancien groupe au côté de Slash... c'est peut-être la plus grande paire de guitaristes que le groupe aurait pu connaître selon moi. |

Use Your Illusion 2 étant pour moi le meilleur opus de l'ancien line-up,j'attendais beaucoup de la part d'Axl pour Chinese Democraty et j'aime énormément le résultat final. Et bien que n'appréciant que moyennement l'homme,je le respecte pour sa musique et son talent exceptionnel. C'est un pur génie. Un génie qui n'eut d'égale que son égo surdimensionné qui mit fin à l'ancienne formation. -/
